PAIR OF FRENCH FAIENCE MAJOLICA
STYLE TUREENS OR VASES WITH CHERUBS
Extra large vintage, antique reproduction country
French faience majolica styled covered vases or tureens.
Purchased at an antique auction in 1979.
They are 100% hand painted, and have roses and petals
that were painstakingly applied separately to the lids
and bases. Each cherub putti holds a flower in their
hand. A crackled firing glaze was used to give them an
aged appearance. They are made of some type of ceramic,
not a porcelain or china. In excellent condition; no
chips, cracks, repairs or missing pieces. Extra large standing
19” tall, 16” wide and 10” deep.
