Heavy Carved Wall Mirror
Original ornately designed antique French or Italian
mirror. Late 1800's or early 1900's. Truly a beautiful
piece of work, having a heavy ornate gesso type
composition applied over the thick, heavy wood motif;
giving it a wonderful 3 dimensional effect.
The mirror is in very good condition for its age. The
silver colored lining on back of mirror has oxidized and
deteriorated in places. The front of the mirror has a
chip in the glass. You can easily replace the mirror if
you prefer the look of new. The wood frame and ornate
decorations has no losses. There are 5 age related
hairline cracks that might be seams. The mirror is 22 ¼”
tall 14” wide and 2 ¼” thick at largest points.
